I like reading/listening to Centennial by James Michener. It's historic fiction but isn't all that far from the truth.

It's about a fictional small town based in Colorado, and how it began all the way back to Native American times up to around the 1970s. A lot of the book intertwines agriculture. I enjoyed the miniseries film that they showed us in school and then read the book and liked it as well or better.

It's long. I think Spotify lists it at 50 hours. But I like that so it doesn't repeat and I don't have to change often. I think I skip the first several chapters till it gets a little more exciting. But I ran out of book listening time on Spotify so I can't say for sure right now.
