It might be a here thing, but all my landlords make $100/ac more and some $200/acre more than I do on the farms I rent. Believe me I have tried to get back to a 50-50 share rent. Those days are mostly gone here. I have already cut back on some acres that I was lucky to make $50/ac on. Sorry, but a lot of landlords are no longer tied to the land, many are the kids now. They seem tied very close to the $ they get or hear of somebody getting more. Just wait, see how many want a piece of that disaster payment. I have already been contacted by 2.
Edit to add: When cash rent is paid in March, they have no risk, none.


^^^^^^^^. Younger generation only cares about money and brag that the farmer who farms their farm has 6 combines running....... In a 40 ac field. It was full of water hemp couldn't hardly see a bean out there. Road sides never mowed. Quite the joke. Got to laugh
though.
