South Central MN | I'm in one of the parts of the world where "abnormally dry" equals better yields, very high water holding capacity in our clay-loam soils with plenty of holes that like to fill up from a downpour that exceeds infiltration rates on the hills. After being too wet here this year I will take a bit of dry. We were "dry" in '23 and had rather good yields on most acres.
Do feel for those who don't have that luxury though, don't have to go too far north or south from here and things change. | |
