Your answer/philosophy on paying high rent is maybe one of the most foolish statements on here.
Think it through.
A farmer needs land to farm to make a profit to keep farming.
In your warped idea he:
Pays high rent
"Rapes" the land
Full of weeds
No yield
So how is he Making MONEY!?
Carry it 1 step further.
He's raped this land according to you so he drops it.
Where does he find more land to rape?
Most landowners/former farmers have pride in the care/appearance of their land.
So pretty soon word is out on the street of the rapers and noone will rent to them
What's their next plan?
In every farming area I've ever seen:
Owners want land taken care of
Yes they want a fair rent
The guy farming it wants to keep it so he takes care of it so he makes money and doesn't lose the lease.
You must be in an area where there's endless amounts of land to rent and no farmers to farm it.
Happy for you.
