| Seems like everyone thinks another thousand acres and their economies of scale will really start to work.
My dad’s got this joke. There’s a guy growing watermelons in town A and using a truck to haul them and sell them in town B. He’s been doing it awhile and it’s not working.
He goes to the bank and banker asks him, well how much do they cost to grow and haul?
2$ a melon he says.
And how much are you able to sell them for?
1.5$ is what the people are paying he replies.
Well this isn’t quite working says the banker.
The farmer responds, yea, I’m gonna need more trucks.
Also, if you’re a landlord, make rents due in January. That way you still got time to find someone else if they can’t pay
