Cheap gas would increase demand dramatically, therefore would increase corn consumption to keep up with the ethanol mandate.
It would depend on how much of a drop in gasoline prices and how long those decreases lasted. Over the short term if prices dropped dramatically then demand for gasoline wouldn’t increase by that much but demand would increase even more if the price decrease stayed around longer term.
