I'm not jobbing garvo either, great poster and guy.
But you can't stay in business and keep building barns on a 1% return so depending how you figure things i guess you can make anything look the way you want on paper.

My theory is if can't oencil 5% profit out the gate I'm not buying. I aim for 7-10% last couple yrs been closer to 15-20%.

My Montana calves bought in late Oct. Have puts locked in that presently will net $300 HD profit.

15 was ugly and only time I have ever lost money . But historically I have made more money backgrounding cattle then rowcrop farming.
