This last year for us was a sickening mixture of too dry swapping over to extremely wet. For many around the corn belt, this was their best year, for us, it was one we hope doesn’t happen again.

Average rainfall- 30”-36” - Currently sitting at 42.75”, so roughly 6”-12” over our average rainfall after having a very dry January-March and a very dry August-November. So you can deduce how that worked out. Recorded 16.88” of rainfall in the months of May and June.

So yes, too dry is never fun, but neither is the opposite way. We have irrigation pivots, we can fix too dry, but our drainage can only handle so much, regardless of tile
