So you are saying you are "giving" your son the farm? By saying he won't be borrowing money he obviously isn't going to have to work for anything. Nothing wrong with that and I'm sure you have taught him well but what you describe is exactly the point the others are trying to make. At some point if the money is "too easy" and just falls in their laps the discipline and passion will fade.
He doesn't get it all, his sisters will get some of it. Don't know how will I have taught him, if he would have listened to me he would have borrowed money and would own more ground than what he already owns. He prefers to have cash drawing interest, rather than owning more ground and having to make a load payment. |
