Callao Missouri | Why keep and retain cows? There is absolutely no incentive. The combine jockeys got a Christmas gift coming. Cow guy doesn't. Im currently sicker than can be, i had to go feed today anyway the combine is setting in the shed not causing problem today.
My thoughts ride this roller coaster until it crashes sell every calf that's born- no retention. Can rebuild with cheaper cattle down the road. Additional pasture that becomes available will be used to scatter out an overcrowding situation I have, but wont be adding mouths.
My gut has been telling me to sell every hoof on the farm, and pay off all debt, or buy more land. Not sure what to do. If i was another 20 years older id be calling auction house instead of typing this message. | |
