| question is, how can anyone in this day and age be a first generation farmer? that is unless you`re the guy that won the mega million$ jackpot. as capital intensive as it is there has to be a uncle or some kind of sugar daddy, therefore if there is a first generation farmer either they are a "farmers market 10 acre farmer" or there`s a unconventional backstory. in about 1990 it was agreed for us that "farming is a business, not a way of life". so, that being the case whether someone lives on a century farm or started 5 years ago, green is the color of everyone`s money. jmo | |
