Cadiz Kentucky | Yes, it works great and saves a lot of time, money & Highway risk. We own 4 20-24 ton tankers that we purchased when a propane company sold out that had been inspected and approved in the last 12 months at the time of purchase. We have a trucking company deliver full loads to the field where we have the tanks spotted and hooked to trucks parked. We make 100% sure to have the semi tanks empty when we move them to different farms. We also use them for winter fill at our main fertlizer location where we have 100,000 gallon of fixed supply tanks plus our wagons after they are gone through and field ready. We make sure to empty them on the lot before we move them. I think I paid roughly $20,000 average and they were and are extremely road worthy. We just do not move them loaded. In reality it is much safer to move a tanker than 5 double wagon trailers that are much wider. The reason we don't move them loaded is you have to have a special license as it pertains to your CDL and the insurance would be much higher. The simple answer it works great and saves a-lot of money. They have paid for the investment several times over in buying opportunities in the off season and in season labor and fuel savings.
