West Central Illinois | Depends on what you can use it for to get value out of it for your use. We just got 5 acres that the 1 acre that's not hay field where house and barns were treated like a garbage dump. Literally never burned their trash or did anything with it. There's 2 old grain bin foundations they piled a lot of their trash on once buildings were full of it the pile is probably 800 sq ft and chest high. House is full of junk and trash and unbelievable it was lived in until early fall, will get torn down once we get a chance.
They got more than they should have BUT it is cut out of an 80 that's all pasture. The house had a good deep well and electric service. Plan is to pipe all water for rotational grazing project from that well which saves 1/2 mile of trenching from my house. Also will make a nice central spot to build corral and pens with cattle working facility much easier than walking them to far corner of the farm where lot and barn is currently.
Anyways, if you wanna keep riff raff out and if the price is manageable and you can get good out of it I'd say go for it | |
