The problem in your case is you are too big to handle your own production. You have more than enough acres. You have displaced or removed the small farmers to the point of no return. All the talk on here lately about doing away with ASCS and gov. pmts. You would not be this big of an operator without. And small farmers would still be in place. Maybe not as efficient or possibly failing in bad yrs. But they still had a chance. Today no small farmers have a chance against you big BTO’s. Who are now crying for cheap labor from overseas. Just like John Deere now closing and laying off people and moving production to Mexico. Where does it stop?!!!! Money hungry people who can’t get big enough deserve to fail also. When is enough, enough? Why is bigger better? Greed is the downfall of the whole USA. Look at our debt!!! Cry all you want, you brought this on yourself, now live with the outcome. I for one do not feel sorry for you not finding help in labor. Get to a manageable size and quit complaining. You don’t give any younger guys a chance to farm. If there just your hired man and nothing more, no wonder you lose workers. Greed and Ego be damned!!!
