Subject: H1 visa discussion

East Arkansas
Elon and Vivek getting a lot of headlines for being proponents for H1B visa holders and expansion. Reading on Twitter a lot of discussion how it’s for cheap labor. I admit I’m an America first believer and I hate that this country shipped jobs overseas during the NAFTA era, etc.

But I will say as a heavy user of H2A labor thst the point the anti H1B visa make about it being for cheap labor and the need to hire more Americans is missing a big point. I don’t think the labor to run a sizable farm or apparently a business that needs large numbers of engineers can be found in this country with the native population at ANY PRICE.

If the H2A program ended I would have to shutdown basically…there is zero local labor available. If we want native born labor to get back in the market we have to stop lifetime entitlements and some people will have to do some work they may not enjoy doing…
