that's as good as my understanding of bitcoin, but how many people really can tell anything by looking at the blockchain. I know I can't. I doubt anybody here has any idea what to look for in a block chain to tell if it's genuine or fake. We'd be several layers removed from the expert who's opinion we're trusting.
That has always been the primary issue with currencies, whether precious metals or fiat currency. Making verification good enough to maintain a high level of trust. By stamping the ruler's portrait and knurling the edges of the coin, or the feel and look of a greenback. Bitcoin blockchain is a clever combination of factors, but I'm not convinced it will hold it's mystique. |
