NCKS | For us the savings are from being able to buy it from brokers direct shipped to farm vs buying from retail location. So $30? I dont figure seasonality into it. Second big thing is that we are open 24/7/365. Cant imagine having to get a retailer involved in season. Buy some old tanks on auction from a place closing down. Theyre basically free. Just make sure they were UAN tanks. Starter and thio tanks will be more corroded and full of crap.
We only have enough storage for about a third of what we need in a year, but we couldn't function without them. I dont know if we are required to or not but ours are in a containment with a plastic liner so that if we do spring a leak we dont lose our investment.
