NE Iowa | No opinion on Bloomington, but as a producer our protocol is to sell the healthiest calves possible. We background them for 3 months before selling and gold tag.
First round of shots are 2 weeks before weaning and second round day we wean. Stress tubs are available first month post weaning. Windbreaks provided, but no barns for them.
IMO, gold tagged calves worth the premium if can buy the quantity you want. | |
