I agree with oldtiger, above. Kind of hard to just make things black and white. You need to have a feel of what the cattle are going thru and what they may be showing you… ( and hiding from you).
With the OP saying this happened to him before……I would’ve talked to vet before buying again and develop a game plan of attack……..BEFORE BUYING……stuff on hand…..looking at cattle multiple times a day.
There are certain times of the year I DONT want to be starting cattle. I know I won’t be able to devote the time that I want to on them.
