We use a Rears 3 pt hitch mower for jobs like that. Brush, blackberries, branches, trees up to 2", if you can knock them down by backing over them, it shreds it. Cheap and simple to maintain and a 50 hp tractor with a pto and 3pt is simpler and cheaper than a high flow skid steer.
