E ND | Between rocks, wire/fence and t-pots fence lines are about the worst place to run a mulcher. If you hire one, make sure you ask about hidden obstructions and if the guy charges for them and any damage they cause. They'll wrap up a 1/4 mile of barbed wire in about 30 seconds and take half a day to remove. Make sure you walked the fence and remove/mark any problem areas ahead of time.
Some dealers rent mulchers with a machine that are set up with guarding, expect to pay $1,500/day or $4,500/week range. If you have a decent amount to do and can keep it busy for a week, there might be some meat on the bone vs. hiring someone but for 1-2 days of work it's hard to justify the hassle of renting. | |
