deep SW On.
SC very interesting and informative posts you make,,especially on "growing up"...here too we didn't have hydro until 1949 and indoor plumbing until 1958...central heat (rather than oil stove-coal and wood) until 1969............and ones think its a hardship if your pick up hasn't got leather and power everything.......a good thing in past was diversified farms-dairy,hogs,crops,never made much but survived with out gov't ins. or payments and owned the land you farmed...now ones want too rent 10,000 acres and be a tenant farmer and grow soys, corn and arizona...not sure if that is sustainable long term and looks impressive from the road but who profits the most c-ih,jd,ect...as farmers we would reel at paying an employee $50 hr. but have no qualms with giving jd that too pay for building a piece of farm equip't....driving across america I look at what has happened the last 100 years and more specifically the past 30 and feel terrible for young ones in city or country...what the heck does these kids in downtown chicago do after school??took youngest too city years ago,his first comment-NO DIRT to play in...good health and luck too SC and all
