Subject: we just bid profit out of farming

deep SW On.
-- be it land rents ,machinery more hogs barns or dairy--like the car companies that produce too a level of loss we do the same,,,my biggest regret in farming will have been not buying land when times where poor and others where not interested.....on the other side if I had of been more aggressive in the late 70's- I would be pushing a grocery cart at meijers now..........we have looked at different areas-ventures and not many poor or dumb farmers and don't think we could do any better than ones in other areas.....on the land part that is the real advantage when prices increase you benefit as an owner,,renters -sharecroppers give it mostly away too someone else.....paid for land is worth 4-5 rented acres..........
