Looking for a jd 9996 that's been salvaged? In need of an engine. Know of any fires this year?
As cheap as basket pickers are it’ll probably be just as cheap to buy the whole running picker. That way you get all 6 heads and everything else.
I’ve seen one picker catch fire and didn’t burn to the ground. Just happened to be at a farm I worked at close to 30 years ago. A 9960. Guy driving it was throwing his cigarette butts out the window in the floor and as you can imagine his luck finally ran out. He was scrapping so there wasn’t much lint stuck to everything and he got it put out quick enough that the only loss was some hydraulic hoses between the basket and the engine at the front. Every other picker I’ve seen burned there wasn’t much salvageable other than the row dividers. |
