The weather should be great this time of year except it is warm. Late dry season, rainy season starts around April. Very few showers, breezy most of the day, cool at night.
spent 4+ years there in early 70s thanks to Uncle Sam. Visited there a couple of years ago and couldn't believe the building of highrise condos!
Lots of money migrated there when China took over Hong Kong.
Friends got us on the mailing list of PanamaVultures.com, run by a bunch of US ex-pats. Lots of property for sale to non residents. They strongly encourage retired residents. I'm sure your friends will show you the good times!
