Subject: RE: Sharpening chain saw blade

Nash County, NC
If you are a novice at sharpening and not looking to make your living with a chainsaw, I suggest a mechanical sharpener. They can purchased from harbor freight or northern tool.

We cut wood to heat the house. We sharpened with the round file and thought we were doing a good job. Older fellow who was everyone grandpa told us we were making a mess of a chain with the file. We bought the sharpener and it was well worth it. After comparing the before and after, we were wasting our time with the file!

I think it like everything, if you do it enough, you will get better. We didn’t do it enough
