Chainsaws do not have blades, they have chains. Hence the name chainsaw.

I run 3 bench mount sharpeners. One with a flat grinding wheel only for taking down the rakers. One with a wheel for 0.325 and low pro 3/8" chains. And one for 3/8" chains. Raker grinder is a higher quality cheap brand from Northern Tool or the like. One is a Tecomec Jollystar. And one is an Efco dual rotation grinder. The Tecomec is a fantastic grinder. Exact same grinder as an Oregon or Maxx. 99% sure Tecomec is the manufacturer of them all just rebranded. We had a cheap HF grinder and if you were real careful and readjusted cut depth from one side to the other they would make a sharp good cutting chain. Two I have now will make cutters identical from one side to the other with no readjusting and you can easily get a razor sharp chain. No way will I bother hand sharpening. You can get a razor sharp chain on the saw that way but I buy chain buy the 100' and have 20 loops ready to go so it's easier/faster to sharpen a bunch in the shop and just swap them out when needed. I personally mod my saws a bit and run them lean on a 100:1 mix. Do not do this without further instruction. But with the extra power I cut rakers down a bit more than standard and let the saws eat.

100 to 1? I run my saws a little lean on the carb but that mix is a little thin for me.
