Southwestern Minnesota | Yes- too safe to be functional! I might add that my dad was looking to replace his range with the same type of range with coiled burners. These are required to have the automatic safety feature. I don't know if that is the same for an electric flat top range or not. He wasn't interested in one like that and so we didn't investigate that. In fact, we didn't know about the automatic safety feature until after it had been delivered and installed. That was when he called the appliance dealer to say that the burners didn't work right. And the dealer said that's the way electric ranges are now..... | |
