The rig mats we saw being used and being transported were pretty impressive to me anyway. I thought they looked like wood snow fence when roiled up- only built with (maybe) 8 X 8 timbers and cable. The drive back to the rig I referenced as well as the entire area around the rig was floating on those mats. Just intrigued me for some reason.
Question for the guys in oil country.
