Thet are most likely not native to your soil and wouldn't survive if they happened to be alive after you applied them. 3. You are applying such a microscopic amount that even if they did survive there's not enough population to matter. Using practices that promote microbes and fungi life will likely give you the best results. Other option would be to look into a Johnson-SU grown from your native soil. I have no experience with that so I can't comment but I think it would be worth looking at. I have seen data that suggests the Johnson-Su does work but again I haven't tested it on my farm.
So you’re saying a foreign bacteria won’t grow on your soil? Wow! First off, most producers have dirt. The “dirt” is that way because of over use of synthetic fertilizers, AND fungicides. And, your carbon levels are low, which is the home of the bacteria. Point two…how does an infection work? According to you, there is such a small amount that it won’t survive anyway. So why does infections thrive? How does an antibiotic work, if it won’t multiply? How would you know that the bacteria in the jug dies before you use it? Ever used a microscope to confirm your guess? That is what YOU are doing…guessing. I suggest that you read some books on soil building before you give such an absurd opinion! I’m just being honest. I’m not here to be condescending…I’m here to make you think of what I am saying! Just today, one of our new customers said he got his soil tests back from the co op. They told him that although high in phosphorus,
(he was very very high
) the co op told that he need to buy more! Then he said why? They literally told him what you put on 4 years ago is what you used this season, and you hafta keep the soil full to utilize for the future! This co op, said his is so locked up that you just keep buying from us. Has anyone heard that before? Every co op agronomist says it. They are salesmen NOT SOIL BUILDERS…big difference. We BALANCE negative and positive chargers to drop off elements you paid for years ago. It is simple science. Think about what I am saying here. It will save you many thousands of dollars. Honest. This customer told me he spent 150,000 on fertilizer from this co op and he said I see I didn’t need a lot of it. And he is right. So, don’t be saying bacteria won’t multiply or it will die in the jug, or it is not native to your soil! That, quite frankly is very laughable and I will ALWAYS call guys like you out. Merry Christmas
