Subject: RE: Stalks in ditch

Floyd County, Iowa
Our neighbor to the north planted a shelterbelt line of trees back then. Cedars. Nothing more than big weeds. Volunteer cedars growing in the fence lines, and the limbs from this shelterbelt hang over the fence, breaking it down with snow on the branches. I spent a day last fall trimming cedar limbs on a 1/4 mile stretch. They hung over by more than 4 feet in places. And deer love to bed down in them......and raise hell with young soybeans and corn on my side of the fence.
