North Central Kansas
It amazes me how people act at a ballgame. They make complete idiots of themselves. Until this year we only went to a few games a year. Since we had an exchange student this year that went out for sports we went to more games. It amazed me the crap that came out of some of the parents mouths. The part that amazes me is that when the dust settles it is just a game. A game that will mean nothing in a a day, a week, a year from now. It will have no effect on our lives. Yet some people act as if it is a life threatening event. The pressure they put on their kids is crazy. When we signed up our exchange student to play we had to sign a code of conduct agreement. In my opinion if you are not going to enforce what is said in them don't have the parents and kids sign them. I saw several times when parents should have been told to calm down. A couple of times I would have escorted them to the door. If you are in charge you have to exercise your authority. Let the bully get away with it once their ego will grow and they will keep doing it.
