I wonder if these new aftermarket parts rust out as fast as the old original squarebodies did? ;-)
Here in Virginia, about the only really rusty squarebodies I've seen were the 1970's models. Supposedly, 73 and 74 were the worst by far for rusting, and something was changed to make the 75+ models longer-lasting.
I've got a 1987 sitting here, awaiting reassembly. The only real rust it has is on the rear cab corners and the lower corners of the fenders. Everything else is nearly as clean as the day it came from the factory. The cab floor and rocker panels are spotless.
I am curious too, about the rust-proofing done on those aftermarket parts. AMD is a reputable company, but I question if they have the ability or incentive to electroplate the panels to the same degree that GM did.
