First off, forests and prairies arent losing tons of nutrients every year because nobody is harvesting them every year…
So you really want to die on the hill that there is no correlation to soil test results and yield? You must be living under a rock if you think that and that there’s no data to back that up.
So here some data to prove you wrong. Below is the yield data from one field that’s been completely grid samples using the mehlech 3 testing method this fall. This field has yet to have the K levels corrected and built to the levels I want but it shows how the levels correlate to yield. First 2 maps are 2024 soybeans and the second is 2023 corn. Green on the soil test maps is 3.5 and greater %K base saturation, red is 1.5 and below. I’d love to watch you try and explain the correlation that these maps PROVE
