ecmn | Have you ever had an organic Phos test done? You do realize the soil is made up of Phos, potassium, calcium, etc? Just because you apply it doesn't mean it's available. Our soils are low CEC, low fertility soils. I will never raise my soil tests to acceptable levels according to some of you. Besides, once the K washes into the subsoil it is basically usless to the plant. Oxygen levels are too low at that depth to utilze much of the K. Your $20 to $40k per field of extra K you added would return more in a 6 month CD than what you get back from the application. | |
