| Here K is a limiting factor. If K base sat % is under 2% here, there's yield drag associated with it on years where things aren't just right weather wise. The ppm matters but in my experience the only time major yield improvements happen for multiple crops/multiple years is when the base saturation of K goes up. I've got soils that are now 3-4% and started in 1-1.5% range. I've found high rates of fat cattle pen pack to move the needle the quickest. | |
