I do this over similar distance with an extender over mains wiring from house - it won't work for everyone as it needs the router and extender unit on same circuit which may not be the case if your buildings are on an entirely separate line. It might be worth trying anyway as the homeplugs are inexpensive and might be used to give you better wifi in problem areas of the house if it won't work outside.
