Subject: RE: 7820 vs 7830 John Deere cabs

I had both versions, my belief is the 7820 has a better tried and true motor. The 7830 seemed it would pull a little better but it had 46 inch rubber compared to 42 on the 7820. I had a lot less problems, 7830 had engine fan problems, lost hydraulic pump on it at 500hrs and the blasted injectors no different than the 8030 models. I still have my 7820 and the 7830 got trade for a 8260R. Was glad to see it leave!
