We’ve had a 7800 power shift. 7820 with 20 speed power quad, and 7830ivt. I don’t remember much difference in the 20 versus 30 cabs.
I really liked the 8.1
For reliability I’d take the 7820 with 20 speed.
What transmissions are in the ones you are looking at?
Not sure what you plan to do with it but consider a 8000 series
