Hooker Twp,Ne | If your husband is buying inputs for the following year he’s doing ok. I say the better scenario is when you can buy next years inputs with two years ago crop/ livestock income. Example 23 crop for 25 expenses. This gives a strong cushion for that bad year and keeps the banker happy. Once in awhile it’s best only one knows exactly what’s happening then only one has sleepless nights. If he’s real set on farming as a living he won’t jeopardize his financial if he can help it. Have you ever gone with him to the banker when he makes out his financial statement? That might be a good starting point. | |
