My wife does the books...........and helps a BUNCH on the farm/ranch. But she's not really business minded so to speak. As in she really doesn't grasp how to make money. We actually used to be a lot more organized with our bookwork when we were younger. Nowadays we just do it to keep up with taxes. I've got a natural tightness and understanding of what it takes to make money..............so we've gotten a little lazy and just roll with it. But we've been farming full time now for over 30 years and have been married 35. The kids are raised and away from here now as well. But those early years can be tough if you're not paying close attention. | |
