Depends where you are, $500 would buy a mill with a missing hammer bed where I am, not much more than a rotted out tank.

I got a 120 Gehl, it works fine but is hydraulic drive, I had hydraulic drive mills and tried to go back to a mechanical drive and couldn’t do it. Bought the 120 out of IA in fantastic shape for less than what junk brings here where I am. I prefer NH’s, but the hydraulic drive NH’s are to tall for a building we go in, so I am stuck with the runner up Gehl.

Either way, a little tractor will grind feed, have done it, you just don’t do much fast, it’s like setting stakes to see if your moving.
