I have rental houses, and sometimes are left vacant through the winter without heat.I shut off the main water valve, and pour maybe 1 qt of rv antifreeze in each sink and washing machine drain (every p trap). Also about 1 gallon of rv antifreeze in toilet and toilet tank. If the house has pex, I haven't had any burst line problems. A nice house I would shut off main water valve and leave heat about 60.
What all would you do to winterize a house?
