Yes, the 295 is just an updated 185.
I have no personal experience using one but for a few years I built a lot of two row planters. I liked using the JD 71’s the best but in time they got scarce so I started building some with IH units. I’m a green underwear kind of guy but the IH 295 is probably a better built unit than the JD 71, just not as popular.
