NWIL | Correct, one shaft is fine for eight rows and smaller stalks on 12, but a guy gets into some of these very strong stalks its taking a lot of horsepower to drag them through, especially if it gets into late season, down, wet stuff or in a tall variety. If you have desire to put on Calmers or rolls similar, you'll be blowing shafts left and right. Calmer won't even sell you rolls for a single shaft twelve row as they have seen plenty of issues with that combo. | |
