The feds (Vilsack, sec. of Ag) issued a mandate which took effect
11/05/2024. All intact breeding stock must have electronic id to cross state lines. Years ago dairy cows were mandated, now beef breeding stock, soon all cattle. Here in illinois, most beef cows,go out of state to be slaughtered.
