Kansas | Here’s an 89, Tbi 454, turbo 400, 4.56 gears with almost 300,000 on it. Classmate’s dad bought it new. Before it had a bed on classmate says if you floor it in low the gear shift lever would shift by itself and bark the tires. I road with him once and he was right.
They were plenty hard on it with one of the first bale beds on it around.
I bought it from them when the dad was retiring and jr used something newer. I put a newer bet on it. I like it.
Also have an 87 single wheel one ton, 454 tbi, 4sp. 4.10 with a bale bed. Bought at 100,000 and now close to 300,000. Never had the heads off. Very tough runner. Rides like an s-10 now.
They both have an addiction with gas.
