West Texas | Most years, I see the blooms start in central TX in mid-March, and they spread north from there, with other flowers filling in as the season progresses. Bluebonnets and indian paintbrush first, then indian blanket and others as they fade out. I particularly like the prairie verbena. In my area, you'll likely see 'scrambled egg' first, about mid-March, followed by buttercup and indian blanket and tahoka daisy.
