Just me but I would tell owners to pound Tommy sand. Got to love estates that the current generation doesn't care about the land. They just drove another nail in the coffin of agriculture and your community. Through zoning laws they made parcels for ranchettes, all having road access. Well guess what now your county has to maintain all those culverts for each whining new resident. Next thing is they will want to get speed limit changed on your county road. Then they will complain about you farming at night.

Yet they want you to farm it, pay top dollar and put up with the crap they just imposed on you and your community. Let the investors buy a line of equipment and deal with this. Make them earn their dollars, why give it to them easy? Then the next guy will think he's going to cut a fat hog and lease it away from you, yet it will take him under too.

This family wants to cut land up into parcels, county needs to make them do full blown subdivision right up front. Curb and gutter. Only two entrance/exits and proper flood retention ponds secondary water and culinary water. All these owners of this type of land are doing is raising your taxes to help put you out of business a little faster.
