SWOH | The boss (dad) gives us a weeks worth of paid vacation days every year. But that doesn't mean they get used every year. I think it's important to spend time away from the farm with the family, but I also know exactly where he's coming from. I always feel like I lose a weeks worth doing something productive whenever I take off and I'm usually miserable during the vacation because I'm always thinking about what I'm falling behind on while I'm gone. But I know it's important for the kids. I have a lot of good memeories from vacations when I was a kid. Tell him to suck it up and stop being selfish and do it for his family. Or you can get some rope and some stakes and actually tie him to his land and you guys can go on vacation and let him loose when you get home.
